Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

Overview

Approach Personnel, partnered with a regional social housing contractor, is seeking a permanent Quantity Surveyor to oversee projects across the East Midlands & South Yorkshire. The role focuses on the commercial success of social housing contracts through negotiation with subcontractors and cost management throughout schemes.

• Basic salary up to £55,000

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working in the social housing sector.
• Ideally, a degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong understanding of cost management and subcontractor procurement.
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.

• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assess contract risk and work with the site team to develop and manage mitigation plans.
• Review all contract documents to ensure the business is protected at all times.
• Manage all commercial aspects related to the contracts.
• Ensure that all group commercial policies are being adhered to and that all legislations are being met.
• Manage our established list of supply chain subcontractors.
