Overview

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well-established environmental consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team covering Nottingham and the wider East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor looking to join a stable consultancy offering a structured workload, strong operational support, and a consistent pipeline of work across domestic and commercial properties.

Role

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will carry out asbestos surveys across a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial properties throughout the East Midlands. You will work independently and as part of an experienced team, delivering high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG

  • Work across a range of domestic and commercial properties
  • Conduct bulk asbestos sampling in accordance with company procedures
  • Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
  • Manage your own diary and workload effectively
  • Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ensure all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures
Qualifications
  • BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy
  • Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
  • Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
