Locations:

Are you a persuasive storyteller with an eye for design and a drive to win? Stepnell are looking for two talented Bid Writers to join our team—one based in our Rugby office and one in Nottingham.
Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and support during the production of high-quality proposals, PQQs, and bids. You will be the creative and organisational force that transforms technical information into winning narratives.
Your Impact:Work Winning & Tenders
- End-to-End Production:
Fully produce pre-qualification and expression of interest submissions. - Strategic Planning:
Review ITT requirements alongside the Preconstruction Manager to produce and manage tender responsibility matrices, ensuring all deadlines are met. - Content Creation:
Draft original responses, edit team contributions, and produce bid-specific case studies and CVs. - Visual Storytelling:
Use your proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat to produce full proposal documents, including graphics and layout improvements. - Submission Management:
Manage project portals and ensure all tenders are uploaded or delivered accurately and on time.
- Marketing & Branding:
Work with the Marketing Manager to refine branding, imagery, and templates, while assisting with content for social media and press releases. - Knowledge Management:
Develop and maintain a library of standard responses, project case studies, and corporate CVs. - Business Development:
Research potential clients and consultants and prepare professional presentation materials for meetings. - Continuous Improvement:
Attend site visits to capture innovation and review feedback from both successful and failed bids to ensure we are always improving.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Exceptional Communication:
Excellent verbal, written, and numerical skills are essential. - Technical Savvy:
High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop). - Collaborative Spirit:
The ability to liaise with regional offices and key contacts to gain a deep understanding of the business.
