Sports Centre Receptionist; Part Time

Salary

£24,084 to £24,701 per annum pro‑rata, based on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

David Ross Sports Village, UK (Other)

22.5 hours per week, ten days per week rotating:
Monday–Wednesday 9:30 am–2 pm and Saturday–Sunday 9:30 am–2 pm.

• Take bookings by telephone or in person.
• Collect and reconcile monies on reception while on duty.
• Deal with enquiries, direct users, issue hire equipment.
• Handle membership enquiries and issue membership cards.
• Check validity of users and deal with lost property.

The role is key to ensuring a first class and seamless experience for our students, staff, alumni and public members. Requirements:

• Excellent telephone manner, calm and professional under pressure.
• Previous experience in a customer‑focused role and evidence of managing cash handling/reconciliation processes.
• Desirable: experience with computer‑booking systems.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills, a proactive approach to tasks and strong attention to detail.
