Overview
Senior / Principal Landscape Architect – Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Manchester or Sheffield. We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join our established team within LUC. The successful individual will support the delivery of a broad portfolio of projects, including strategic projects with a focus on addressing the climate emergency. The current portfolio includes open space studies and play strategies;
strategic landscape assessments; climate adaptation strategies; woodland and tree strategies; concept masterplans / design guidance.
You will work as part of our award-winning Landscape Planning & Management team on a diverse range of landscape planning, design and landscape management projects in collaboration with colleagues across disciplines such as ecology and planning. You will contribute at landscape scale within a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Involve yourself in all stages of project development, including assisting with new business generation, project support and administration.
- Collaborate with the wider team to produce outputs ranging from technical reports to high-quality graphics to support project delivery.
- Work on a diverse range of landscape planning, design and landscape management projects across varying contexts.
- Engage with colleagues in related disciplines to fulfil project aims and influence outcomes related to nature, people and place.
Produce technical outputs and contribute to the development of strategy and design guidance. Support with client liaison, project management and visual communication of concepts and findings.
Qualifications- Educated with a relevant landscape-related qualification at degree or postgraduate level, or an equivalent mix of knowledge and experience.
- Excellent report writing and visual communication skills.
- Experience of client-facing work and collaboration with external team members.
- Strong project management skills or a willingness to learn.
- A passion for delivering projects that benefit people and the environment.
- Enthusiasm for new challenges and a collaborative mindset.
- UK driving licence and experience of undertaking fieldwork with competent photography skills.
- Chartered member of the Landscape Institute.
- Experience contributing to winning work and engaging in consultations and stakeholder engagement.
- Location:
Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Manchester or Sheffield - Salary: £32,500 - £46,000 FTE (dependent on experience), plus London weighting if applicable
- Full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week; flexible working options available (including part-time hours down to 30 hours per week)
- Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
