Your new role

We're looking for a Architectural Technologist to join our team and create a real impact by assisting in the preparation of working drawing packages, coordinating technical information, and specification writing, whilst delivering a comprehensive technical service in an efficient, effective, and economic manner.

If you have a passion for drawing and experience within the education sector, we'd love to hear from you. We're passionate about creating inspiring learning environments, and thrive on delivering projects from concept to completion, creating purposeful, sustainable, inspiring environments.

You'd be joining an established team of architects, designers and technologists – who have a collective drive for creation, and collaboration. We challenge each brief we receive to ensure we save our clients time, money and ultimately deliver a building designed to last.

What You'll Do

You’ll be responsible for assisting in the preparation of working drawing packages, coordinating technical information, and specification writing whilst delivering a comprehensive technical service in an efficient, effective, and economic manner.

You’ll work collaboratively with the wider team, ensuring a consistent and holistic approach to the delivery of technical drawings.

Produce and co‑coordinate technical drawings on a range of projects in 2D/3D using Autodesk Revit and other appropriate software, including the use of CDE portals such as Autodesk BIM

Liaise with clients, including the review of incoming third‑party information and integration of design information, that protects the design and client’s brief.

Display skill, imagination, and sensitivity in communicating and collaborating with diverse clients and multidisciplinary design teams during the development and delivery of technical work stages.

You’ll have a good working knowledge of environmentally sustainable systems and their application in new and existing developments as part of energy efficiency programmes or single building projects.

What You’ll Bring

Ideally a professional qualification from, or Association with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT).

A portfolio of significant experience working as an Architectural Technologist in the education sector.

Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to use own initiative to plan and manage and prioritise own work programme, projects and other resources.

Well‑developed interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate with internal and external teams and an ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and reconcil[e] differences.

Knowledge of current & emerging technical design, construction and environmental issues, legislative requirements and statutory responsibilities pertaining to the role.
