The OpportunityWe have a new opportunity for a Structural BIM Designer/Technician who is excited by technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects to join our creative and collaborative Building Engineering Team that spans the Midlands, South-West and Wales.
Based in our Nottingham office, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of over 300 engineers and BIM designers. Our projects span the globe, offering the opportunity to thrive in an international, multicultural environment. You’ll contribute to some of the most innovative and inspiring buildings worldwide, with current and recent projects including rail infrastructure. science and industry developments, university buildings, residential and healthcare facilities.
In this role, as a Structural BIM Designer/Technician you will be responsible for production of our structural BIM models and drawings to communicate our design. You will be the focal point for collaborative BIM delivery, attending coordination workshops and collaborating with other project stakeholders to develop the design. Beyond your projects you will provide technical support to the wider team and look to mentor future apprentices as the team grows.
Experience in reinforced concrete detailing, the use of Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC), implementation of BIM Execution Plans, and an interest in automation are highly valued, but not essential.

Is this role right for you?We’re looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
- Have in depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit, including model setup, modelling and drawing production.
- Have a strong background in Structural BIM delivery and coordination, across a range of project sectors and stages.
- Have a thorough understanding of the principles, processes and standards required to produce high-quality models and drawings
- Possess strong communication skills at all levels with regular reporting to structural engineering leads and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
