This role offers genuine project ownership, the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams and the chance to work across every stage of the RIBA Plan of Work on high-profile developments.
The Role As a Project Architect, you'll take responsibility for delivering architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring high-quality design solutions are successfully realised on site.
Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, you'll coordinate project teams, manage programmes and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest design and technical standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect who enjoys balancing design creativity with technical delivery while mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of a thriving architectural studio.
Key Responsibilities Lead architectural projects across all RIBA work stages, from concept design through to completion
Manage project programmes, design coordination and project deliverables
Prepare and review planning applications, technical drawing packages and construction information
Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and client teams
Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality expectations
Maintain compliance with UK Building Regulations, Planning legislation and industry best practice
Mentor and support junior Architects and architectural staff
Attend client meetings, design workshops, site inspections and contractor meetings
Resolve technical challenges and contribute to innovative design solutions throughout project delivery
The Ideal Candidate To be considered for this Project Architect position, you'll ideally possess the following:
ARB Registered Architect Approximately 5 years' post-Part III experience
Proven experience working as a Project Architect within a commercial architectural practice
Experience leading projects through multiple RIBA work stages
Excellent design, technical detailing and presentation skillsA strong portfolio demonstrating projects from concept through construction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and project management abilities
Proficiency in BIM software, ideally Revit and/or ArchiCADDesirable Experience Applications are particularly welcomed from Architects with experience in one or more of the following sectors:
Education Industrial & Advanced Manufacturing Residential Facade Remediation Experience delivering both new build and refurbishment projects would also be highly advantageous.
Previous experience using ArchiCAD would be beneficial, although full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
