Architectural Technologist - Nottinghamshire | £40,000 - £42,000
An established Nottinghamshire architecture practice is hiring an Architectural Technologist to take genuine ownership of live projects, run them from inception to completion, and lead the design and technical detail across a varied sector mix.
The practice has been going for around 30 years, with a strong reputation across leisure, residential, commercial, heritage and healthcare work.
You'd be joining a team of architects, designers and project managers where technologists carry weight and are trusted to lead projects.
The Architectural Technologist role, day to day:
- Running your own projects from inception to completion, taking design ownership throughout.
- Assessing client needs, planning work, and producing designs in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinating detailed design information and preparing specifications for construction.
- Producing Building Regulations-compliant drawings and preparing statutory approval applications.
- Making site visits, checking progress, and inspecting completed work.
- Providing technical advice on materials, processes and buildability decisions.
- Contributing to health and safety and risk assessments.
- Advising clients on maintenance and future use of completed schemes.
What we're looking for in this Architectural Technologist:
- Strong background in architectural technology, with the confidence to run projects independently.
- Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction processes.
- Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, plus working knowledge of Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign and MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and design sensibility.
- Confident communicator, comfortable with clients, contractors and the wider design team.
- Self-starting, organised, and able to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
- Full UK driving licence (essential for client and site visits).
Why this Architectural Technologist role in Nottinghamshire is worth a look:
- Genuine project ownership from inception to completion, not a fragment of the job.
- A varied sector mix that keeps things interesting week to week.
- An established practice with a solid reputation and a steady project pipeline.
- Salary £40,000 - £42,000 depending on experience.
- A mix of office, site and client-facing work, so no two weeks look the same.
