• Provide general orthopaedic trauma and the full scope of trauma and elective shoulder and elbow services at the major trauma centre and the elective orthopaedic tertiary unit.
• Serve as a specialist shoulder and elbow surgeon within the elective tertiary hub, including revision shoulder and elbow surgery, performing independent and dual operating for complex revision shoulder and elbow arthroplasty in line with GIRFT and BESS recommendations.
• Deliver acute shoulder and elbow services, including an acute subspecialist clinic in combination with the trauma component of the post.
• Work on the Queens Medical Centre Campus/Treatment Centre and the Nottingham City Campus, collaborating with a dynamic and collegiate group of over 26 other T&O consultant colleagues.
• Commit to on‑call coverage in the orthopaedic trauma unit (1 in 16) and attend weekly fracture, acute and elective clinics alongside trauma operating lists and full‑day elective operating lists.
• Participate in mentorship and supervision of new consultants, benefiting from established pathways within the departmental collegiate group.
