Teaching Assistant

Teacher Active are currently looking for a confident, reliable and experienced KS2 HLTA / Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Carlton. This is a fantastic opportunity to support teaching and learning across the school, while also gaining valuable classroom leadership experience by covering lessons in the teacher’s absence.

We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant/ TA who is caring, patient and committed to making a real difference in people’s live. In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with pupils and staff to support learning, encourage development, and help every child reach their full potential.

The ideal Level 3 TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:

Level 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment in the UK
A calm, patient and caring persona
Good communication skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and small group basis
Bonus (but not essential):

• A full driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role
