About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available within our Autism/ADHD Team, in Disability and Inclusion Support Services for a Term time Specialist Mentor (Autism) to support a caseload of students with a mixture of Disabled Students Allowance funded Autism mentoring support.

Educated to degree level, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of the support needs and lived experience of students from a range of diverse backgrounds relevant to their participation in higher education, including reasonable adjustments, human and technical support. An excellent working knowledge of the impact and barriers to learning for students with diagnosed Autistic Specific Conditions and the potential impact on student engagement, progression and attainment is also essential.

Due to the funding requirements for the provision of mentoring support for students in receipt of the Disabled Students Allowance, the successful candidate will require a relevant qualification and/or membership of a professional organisation from the list provided in the personnel specification.

You will be part of our Student Support Services function which makes an important contribution to the NTU student experience, providing a range of specialist and professional services for students and operating in an integrated, multidisciplinary student services context across the University. We are a highly dedicated team of professionals seeking to ensure our students have a positive experience and access to the support they need at University, Services include Pathways Team, Disability and Inclusion Support Services, Wellbeing Support, Money Advice and International Student Support
