EYFS Practitioner

Location: Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-Time or Part-Time

A friendly and supportive primary school in Waddesdon is seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Practitioner to join their Early Years team from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a nurturing, child-centred environment and is dedicated to supporting young learners during their crucial early development.

The school champions creativity, emotional wellbeing, and a personalised approach to learning. As an EYFS Practitioner, you ll play a vital role in delivering engaging activities and fostering a safe, stimulating setting where children can flourish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of high-quality EYFS provision in line with the Early Years Framework

  • Lead small group and 1:1 activities to encourage language, social, and motor development

  • Observe and assess children s progress; contribute to learning journals and parent reports

  • Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages independence and curiosity

  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to meet individual child needs

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through supportive and caring interactions

Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a relevant EYFS qualification (Level 3 or above), or has equivalent experience in an Early Years setting

  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development

  • Demonstrates excellent communication, creativity, and organisational skills

  • Shows a caring and patient nature, with a genuine passion for early childhood education

  • Is committed to safeguarding and ongoing professional development
