Teacher of English - Tring, Hertfordshire

Prospero Teaching is working with an Ofsted rated Outstanding school that is looking to recruit a NQT or an experienced Teacher of English. The role is based in London, Hertfordshire.

This position starts in February 2026 and is open to NQTs or experienced teachers. The ideal Teacher of English will be committed, positive and versatile to join the successful department. You would be required to deliver excellent subject knowledge to KS3 and KS4 and KS5 in a large, mixed-sex school with outstanding facilities. The school aims to provide a positive and respectful learning environment and offers in-house training and CPD opportunities.

• Deliver high-quality English teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Join and contribute to a successful, well-structured English department.
• Support professional development through the school’s CPD opportunities.
• Tutor and assess students to promote learning and progression.

• Location: Tring, Hertfordshire

• Hours: 8:00am–3:30pm (or 4:00pm), plus parents’ evenings

• QTS or equivalent
• PGCE / SCITT / TEACH FIRST
• English-related degree
