Overview

The Children and Families Department takes a strengths-based approach to working with each other, children, young people and families, and our partner agencies. We call this 'Our Nottinghamshire Approach'.

These roles are for Specialist Teaching Assistant within the Home and Pre-School Team, delivering support to children aged 0-5 with a range of severe and complex special educational needs in a variety of settings including the family’s home. You may visit families at home to offer support and advice around their child’s needs. You will undertake assessments, set targets and model positive ways of working to promote the child’s next steps in development.

You will also visit EY settings to support staff in providing inclusive interventions and provision.

You should be knowledgeable about EY practitioners, confident in working with young children with SEND, and committed to Inclusion. You should be organised, flexible, hardworking, enjoy being part of a team, willing to contribute ideas and support colleagues. You should also hold a full driving license.
