Adult Learning LLDD Tutor - Nottinghamshire
At Inspire Learning we continue to develop and deliver quality learning opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and difficulties, across Nottinghamshire.
We offer a range of bespoke learning programmes, both accredited and non-accredited, often in partnership with partner services and organisations, for learning disabled adults in our communities. We are now recruiting for a full-time LLDD tutor to join our team, teaching across the county.
We are looking for a well-qualified tutor with experience of working with learning disabled adult learners with a range of skills and of learning and communication needs. The tutor should be a skilled practitioner with experience of delivering ambitious, engaging, supportive, successful and high-quality accredited and non-accredited learning. The delivery will be across a range of subjects but with a concentration on personal and social development and communication.
The tutor should have experience of planning, delivering and assessing learning.
The teaching will be mostly in-person and can be anywhere in Nottinghamshire; there may be some online delivery. The tutor will work with, and contribute to, a supported tutor team to continue to develop our LLDD offer, in response to the needs of our community Ideally, the tutor will have knowledge and experience of assessment and IQA processes. An IQA qualification will be beneficial.
The tutor will teach across Nottinghamshire, and online, with an agreed programme of teaching to include daytime, evening and some weekend courses. Because of the travel, access to a car and/or the ability to travel across the county will be advantageous.

Full-Time Adult Learning Tutor
Grade 5
Job PurposeTo plan and deliver teaching and training on accredited and non-accredited learning programmes across Nottinghamshire’s seven districts. To contribute to associated tasks, including learning support, invigilation and promotion. To support curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities- To plan and deliver an agreed programme of 800hrs per year of accredited and tailored adult learning across Nottinghamshire and online, as required. This will include evening and weekend teaching as well as weekday daytime courses.
- To support learners throughout their learning journey, ensuring their needs are met, by taking responsibility for assessment, learning support processes, quality teaching and learning and end of course evaluation.
- To seek to continuously improve teaching and learning, including positively engaging with quality initiatives and development points, for example following OTLAs.
- To contribute positively to curriculum and teaching and learning development, including active contributions to curriculum teams and relevant working groups.
- To undertake associated tasks as agreed, for example: learning support, invigilation, events.
- To support with programme and curriculum-related events and marketing.
- To take ownership of personal and professional development in line with the ETF Professional Standards for Teaching.
- To undertake appropriate administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- To be involved in producing an annual Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and work positively towards the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- To ensure that all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to and organisational guidelines are followed, including the Prevent Strategy and to actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
- The post holder will work in accordance with all Inspire policies and procedures, Inspire Brand guidelines, contractual requirements, and professional best practice.
- The post holder will perform any duties or tasks assigned by management required to meet service needs as appropriate to the role.
- The post holder will assume the role of Appointed Person and/or First Aider as required.
- Hold or be willing to work towards a level 4 teaching qualification
- GCSE A to C (4 to
9) or equivalent in English and maths - Hold or be willing to work towards an assessor qualification
