Nursery Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our Forest School Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a someone who believes in outdoor education and can combine strong leadership with a hands‑on approach. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safety, while fostering a positive and supportive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of early years practitioners
• Oversee the delivery of a high-quality Forest School curriculum
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
• Manage staff training, and development
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the external agencies
• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive outdoor learning environment
• Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks effectively

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable)
• Proven experience in a leadership role within an early years setting
• Forest School qualification (Level 3 preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Passion for outdoor learning and nature-based education
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Early Years Level 5 or Level 6 qualification (e.g., Foundation Degree, BA in Early Childhood Studies)
