Teaching Assistant - Primary PRU

Overview

Are you a caring and Team Teach trained individual with experience supporting students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health? Prospero Teaching is looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant with a calm and caring nature to support within a primary Alternate Provision in Longsight.

• Support in the management and support of the classroom and with students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
• Follow the primary curriculum and use Team Teach behaviour support to help students manage their behaviour.

• Previous experience of working with students with SEMH, Autism or ADHD – Preferred
• Experience working within a school or similar setting
• Team Teach Qualification – Essential (training can be provided)
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references

• Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
• In-house Training and Development Team
