Permanent | Full-Time About the Role  We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEND setting in North West England. This is an excellent opportunity to support children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering high-quality, personalised teaching and learning that enables every pupil to achieve meaningful progress from their individual starting points.

The successful candidate will be committed to creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment where pupils with a range of special educational needs can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities  Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across KS1 and KS2.  Adapt teaching approaches to meet a diverse range of SEND needs, including communication, sensory, SEMH, cognition, and learning needs.  Develop and implement personalised learning plans, interventions, and strategies to support pupil progress.  Contribute to EHCP processes, including evidence gathering, annual reviews, and multi-agency meetings.  Write, implement, and review IEPs or personalised learning plans with measurable targets.  

Assess, monitor, and evidence pupil progress against personalised targets and EHCP outcomes.  Create calm, structured learning environments with consistent routines and visual supports.  Work collaboratively with families, therapists, support staff, and external agencies.  Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in learning.  Essential Requirements  Qualifications  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).  A recognised degree in any subject.  Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to teaching, SEND, or primary education.  

Experience  Experience teaching or supporting pupils within KS1 and/or KS2.  Proven experience adapting teaching to meet a wide range of SEND needs and starting points.  Experience contributing to EHCP processes, including evidence gathering, review meetings, and multi-agency liaison.  Experience writing and implementing IEPs or equivalent personalised learning plans.  Experience creating structured, calm learning environments with consistent routines and visual supports.  

Experience assessing, tracking, and evidencing progress against personalised targets and EHCP outcomes.  Person Specification  We are looking for a professional who:
