Intervention Support Officer

£25,951 - £27,733 FTE per annum - £18,341 - £19,600 pro rata (dependent on experience). Perm;
Part Time, Term time Only (0.707fte) 4 days/week.

September 2026.

What You'll Do
  • Provide tailored pastoral support and deliver targeted interventions to improve student wellbeing, engagement, attendance and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, students, parents/carers and external agencies to support students holistically.
  • Develop and monitor personalised support plans using SMART targets and track progress effectively.
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate referrals and support are in place.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions, attendance and progress using college systems.
  • Support students with a range of mental health, welfare and engagement needs through guidance and signposting.

  • Has excellent communication skills and can build strong, trusting relationships with a diverse range of students and stakeholders.
  • Is highly organised, with the ability to manage a caseload, prioritise effectively and maintain accurate records.
  • Is adaptable, proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy team environment.
  • Can remain positive and resilient, with a flexible approach to supporting students with complex needs.
