Full‑Time Senior Teaching Assistant
Sutherland House School is a non‑maintained specialist school for autistic children and young people aged 3–19. Role SummaryYou will play a key role in supporting teachers to provide individualised and group support to autistic children and young people, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing, tailored educational environment.
Responsibilities- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
- Adapt teaching materials and ensure children’s social, emotional and academic needs are met.
- Engage with families, therapists and external agencies to support pupil progress.
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and support classroom activities.
- Previous experience of working in an additional needs environment (desirable).
- Commitment to supporting autistic pupils and families.
- Strong communication and team working skills.
- Full training and support will be provided if necessary.
