The Department of Classics and Archaeology at the University of Nottingham invites applications for a Teaching Associate in Classics (Latin‑focused). The role will involve a mix of teaching, supervision and pastoral support, with a supportive inclusive working environment.

• Convene and teach undergraduate modules on Greek and Roman Myth, Global Reception and Ancient Literature, and Beginner’s Latin.
• Supervise undergraduate and taught postgraduate dissertations.
• Contribute to broader first‑year introductory modules where appropriate.
• Provide proactive pastoral support to students.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, prioritising work activities and managing workload under pressure.

• PhD already awarded in a relevant subject area, or to be awarded by the time of appointment.
• Evidence of teaching ability in the areas outlined above.

Part‑time 29 hours per week, fixed‑term post commencing 1 September 2026 until 31 August 2027.
