Salary: £106 per day while in temp period then £23,490 per annum (actual salary) when perm.

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND School in Nottinghamshire that is dedicated to providing a supportive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant from September 2026 on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism / ASD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH, working closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support, deliver interventions and encourage positive engagement in learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• A good understanding of Autism / ASD, SEMH, learning difficulties and additional needs

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to support pupils with challenging behaviours where required

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach

• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their goals
