About the School

This well-established, specialist provision supports students aged 11‑19 with a range of needs, including:

  • Severe and moderate learning difficulties (SLD/MLD)
  • Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
  • Speech, language and communication needs

The school offers a structured, nurturing and inclusive environment with small class sizes and a strong emphasis on independence, life skills and personal growth. Staff collaborate to ensure every student feels supported, valued and able to succeed.

Your Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families
  • Support students' academic, social and emotional development
  • Use creative and adaptive approaches to maximise engagement
  • Track progress and contribute to reviews and target setting
What We're Looking For
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEN learners (ASC/SLD preferred)
  • A patient, flexible and compassionate approach
  • Strong skills in differentiation and classroom management
  • A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent at a later date.
