The Department of Classics and Archaeology at the University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Classics (Greek‑focused).
Responsibilities
- Convene and teach Ancient Greek from Beginner’s to Advanced level.
- Convene and contribute to undergraduate modules Extended Source Study, Interpreting Ancient Art and Archaeology, and Dissertations.
- Contribute to Study Classical Scholarship and supervise undergraduate and taught postgraduate dissertations.
- Provide pastoral support for students and collaborate with colleagues under pressure.
Qualifications
- PhD awarded or to be awarded in a relevant subject area by the time of appointment.
- Evidence of ability to teach in the specified areas.
- Strong teaching ability in classics.
Employment
Part‑time 0.8 FTE (29 hours per week), fixed‑term post commencing 1 September 2026 until 31 August 2027.
