Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nottingham from September 2026.

This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to further develop their career within education. Working closely with class teachers and support staff, you will play an important role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and passionate about making a positive difference in the classroom.

About the Role

Working as part of a supportive school team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives
  • Assisting with the delivery of targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
  • Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil participation
  • Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally throughout the school day.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND – desirable
  • Positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting children
  • Committed to a long-term role within education
