Science Teacher (with SEN/SEMH Experience)
A nurturing independent specialist school in Ruddington, Nottingham is looking for a Science Teacher with SEN or SEMH experience to join their close-knit and growing school.
This is a unique opportunity to join this well established education group in supporting pupils with diverse needs. The school are looking for a Science Teacher with proven experience of working with SEND or SEMH pupils and experience teaching up to GCSE level.
- Planning and delivering engaging science lessons, to pupils with complex SEMH, ASC and other learning needs
- Alongside the curriculum, providing emotional regulation and sensory support to classes of six students
- Promoting independence and confidence through tailored, nurture-focused learning
- Tracking progress and contribute to EHCP processes
- Working hours:
8:15am - 4pm - Starting asap/September
- Salary:
Up to £37,500 plus £2,679 SEN allowance
Person specification:
- Experience of teaching, preferably in a SEN setting
- QTS or QTLS
- Experience teaching up to GCSE level
- Experience of adapting teaching to various needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Adaptable, resilient and empathetic attitude
