About the Position

Nottingham University Business School China (NUBS China) is part of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). It delivers world‑class business programmes and has achieved triple‑crown accreditation. The School currently has 3,621 students, 894 in postgraduate programmes.

We are seeking exceptional scholars to join as Professor in Business Analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take the lead on, plan, develop and conduct individual and/or collaborative research objectives, projects and proposals.
  • Act as principal investigator on major research projects; investigate and devise new research methods and contribute to the development of thought and practice.
  • Establish national reputation and disseminate research findings through publications, conferences and media.
  • Pursue recognition through national and international talent schemes to elevate personal and institutional standing.
  • Deliver teaching across a range of modules or within a subject area, providing curriculum leadership.
  • Design course modules and programmes of study in specialist areas, identify and propose improvements.
  • Supervise and examine undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Business Analytics, Operations Management, Information Systems, Marketing, or other emerging/interdisciplinary fields relevant to Business Analytics.
  • Proven ability to plan and lead the delivery of research and teaching programmes.
  • Track record of publishing in top‑tier international journals at a level appropriate to the appointment.
  • Ability and passion to work in a multicultural environment of UNNC and explore research opportunities in China.
  • Evidence of attracting research funding and/or leading research projects; strong mentorship and research networking; editorial experience at leading journals is advantageous.
