The School

Long Term Futures is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist school within a Multi Academy Trust. The school is looking for two teaching assistants on a Temp to Perm contract. The school proudly supports young people aged 11–16, providing a safe and nurturing environment for pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties and complex needs, including autism, SEMH, and communication or sensory processing challenges.

Every pupil has an EHCP, which sits at the heart of a personalised curriculum delivered through carefully tailored pathways.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning, develop independence, and build confidence. Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you’ll contribute to creating a calm, structured, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in education, childcare, or health & social care.
  • Experience in a special school, SEN unit, or SEND role.
  • Confidence supporting pupils with autism, SEMH, and communication needs.
  • A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach with strong teamwork skills.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
