About the RoleAre you passionate about inclusive education and supporting students to achieve their full potential? Nottingham Trent University is seeking 2 dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our Student Support Services team at our Brackenhurst, countryside campus near Southwell. In this person‑centred role, you'll provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, helping them access learning, social, and enrichment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver person‑centred support enabling access to learning, social and enrichment opportunities.
- Promote independent learning and self‑management strategies.
- Support students across campus, residential settings, offsite, and during work placements.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and practical sessions as required.
- Collaborate with curriculum teams to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives.
- Experience supporting young people with SEND in post-16 education.
- Strong understanding of inclusion, disabilities, and advocacy.
- Excellent communication, listening, and organisational skills.
- Educated to Level 3 with GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
