Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant
Nottingham | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity
Monarch Education are recruiting for a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with physical disabilities and complex needs within a specialist educational setting in Nottingham.
This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils to access learning, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally. You will work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to provide tailored support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting pupils with physical disabilities and complex needs
- Assisting with mobility and access to learning activities
- Encouraging independence and communication skills
- Supporting personal care where required
- Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for supporting pupils to reach their full potential
- Experience with in education, care, support work, or healthcare settings is desirable
