Teacher Active works in partnership with a wide range of inclusive and supportive primary schools across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We are looking for enthusiastic Primary Teachers to provide high-quality day-to-day and short-term cover.

Supply teaching offers excellent flexibility while allowing you to build relationships with local schools. Day-to-day bookings can also develop into longer-term placements when the right opportunity becomes available.

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
Follow work and lesson plans provided by the school
Adapt teaching to support pupils with different abilities and needs
Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom
Create an inclusive environment in which pupils feel supported
Assess learning and provide feedback to school staff
Follow the school’s policies and safeguarding procedures
Provide pupils with consistency during their teacher’s absence
The successful Primary Teacher will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status/QTS
Have a strong understanding of the UK Primary Curriculum
Be confident teaching across the primary age range
Have effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Be passionate, inclusive and supportive
Be adaptable and able to settle quickly into new schools
Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents
Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
Understand safeguarding, KCSIE and the Prevent Duty, or be willing to complete relevant CPD training
Experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers/ECTs are both warmly encouraged to apply.
