Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Food Technology educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5. Nottingham schools boast well-equipped practical rooms and vibrant technology departments focused on vocational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Food Technology curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham
- Plan, prepare, and assess Food Technology lessons in line with department policy and health & safety standards
- Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
- Manage classroom practical setups, hygiene protocols, and culinary equipment
- Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings as required
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching Food Technology experience in a UK secondary setting
- Is passionate about Food Technology education, nutrition, and student achievement
- Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
