Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with SEND? As the Place Planning Officer (SEND), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Nottinghamshire has sufficient high-quality SEND education and childcare places for children and young people aged 0-25. You will support the development and delivery of our SEND Place Planning Strategy through insightful analysis of demographic trends and pupil projections.

• Forecasting Future Demand:
  Anticipate the need for SEND places based on demographic data and trends.
• Data Management:
  Manage and analyse complex data to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with schools, local authorities, planners, and housing developers to ensure SEND needs are integrated into infrastructure planning.
• Expert Advice:
  Provide guidance to senior leaders and elected members on SEND matters.
• Funding Support:
  Assist in securing funding for additional SEND provisions.
• New School Establishment:
  Support the establishment of new SEND schools to meet local needs.

• A degree or equivalent qualification in SEND, Education, Social Care, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes.
• Experience in managing complex data and contributing to strategic planning.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding frameworks and quality assurance methodologies.
