Teacher Salary Range £47,472 - £51,048 (pro rata for part time)

Allowances may apply, including TLR and/or SEN payments as agreed by the manager.

We are excited to invite applications for the role of Educational Audiologist / Teacher of the Deaf within our Hearing and Vision Specialist Support Team, starting in January 2027. We are looking for a qualified Educational Audiologist or a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) who is passionate about leading in audiology and eager to pursue further professional development. Your commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people aged 0 to 19 years will be essential in this role.

This post carries a SEN point and TLR 2a.

As part of our dynamic multidisciplinary team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading audiology initiatives and providing expert guidance to colleagues.
• Collaborating with Qualified Teachers of the Deaf, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, and other specialists to enhance educational experiences.
• Supporting children and young people with hearing loss through tailored interventions and inclusive practices.
• Engaging with families to ensure their voices are heard in the educational process.
• Contributing to the continuous professional development of the team and yourself.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A recognised qualification as an Educational Audiologist or Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD).
• A minimum of five years' teaching experience, with a strong understanding of hearing loss and educational audiology. At least 2 years working with children and young people with hearing loss, ideally in a peripatetic role.
• Knowledge of inclusive practices and SEND legislation.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative working.
