Enhanced Support Assistant

Temporary Enhanced Support Assistant (1:1 SEND) post at Huntingtower Community Primary Academy, part of the Priory Federation of Academies Trust. The role gives one-to-one support so that pupils with additional needs can access the curriculum in and outside the classroom, and develop academically and socially. Hours are mornings only, daily from 8.50am to 12.10pm, with possible extra lunch cover hours. Applicants need GCSE English and Maths at grades A to C, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• One-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Help pupils access the curriculum in and outside the classroom
• Support pupils' academic and social development
• Provide lunch cover for some pupils, with additional hours claimed monthly

• GCSE English and Maths at grades A to C
• Level 3 qualification, or willingness to work towards one

• Computer literacy, including MS Word, Outlook and Excel

• Enhanced DBS check
• Eligibility to work in the UK

• Previous experience of working with children
• Understanding of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
