Low Carbon Recruitment is working with a well‑established renewable energy company that has been operating since 2018. They have quickly become one of the largest installers of renewables and insulation across East Anglia with over 30 years’ experience in the energy efficiency industry. They are a family‑run business delivering green energy solutions and measures for large utility companies from cavity wall insulation to loft insulation, solar PV, air source heat pumps and storage heaters.

We are looking for an Electrical Audit Supervisor in the solar industry who is ideally based in Nottingham. In this role, you will be responsible for full inspections of electrical works, audits, checking remedial and repair works, signing of work and managing the installation teams. You will be hands‑on, conducting physical inspections of solar PV and battery storage systems to ensure they align with technical designs and industry standards.

A large part of your day will involve verifying that each installation meets all necessary compliance and safety regulations.

The installations are across Nottingham with some nationwide.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days on site and 2 days in the office. For further projects away, the company will supply food allowance and overnight accommodation.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in a quality control or auditing role within the solar energy sector.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, PV qualifications), and auditing certifications (e.g., ISO, NICEIC).
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical installation regulations, and safety standards.
  • Analytical skills: ability to assess complex electrical systems and identify areas of risk or non‑compliance.
  • Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and senior management.
  • Leadership: proven ability to lead and develop a team, manage multiple audits simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail: high level of attention to detail and precision in completing audits and reports.

Salary Package
  • Competitive salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
