Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

• Gain hands‑on experience while earning a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician qualification.
• Maintain and repair complex systems, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Conducting planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Performing mechanical repairs, including welding and fabrication.
• Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Strict adherence to PPE requirements is essential.

What We Need From You

Skills:

• Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Keen eye for precision work.

Personal Qualities:

• Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn.
• Technically minded, with good hand skills and the patience to master new techniques.
• Team‑oriented with the confidence to work independently when required.

Training and Development

• First year: full‑time study at the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre, returning to the workplace one Friday per month.
• Subsequent training: AMRC Training Centre one day a week, four days on‑site learning.
• Apprentice based in London or Nottingham after initial block.

Qualifications Required

• 5 GCSEs, including:
  English Language (Grade C/4 or above) and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
• Successful completion of assessments at the AMRC Training Centre and our internal recruitment process.
