- Gain hands‑on experience while earning a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician qualification.
- Maintain and repair complex systems, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Conducting planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Performing mechanical repairs, including welding and fabrication.
- Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Strict adherence to PPE requirements is essential.
Skills:
- Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Keen eye for precision work.
Personal Qualities:
- Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn.
- Technically minded, with good hand skills and the patience to master new techniques.
- Team‑oriented with the confidence to work independently when required.
- First year: full‑time study at the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre, returning to the workplace one Friday per month.
- Subsequent training: AMRC Training Centre one day a week, four days on‑site learning.
- Apprentice based in London or Nottingham after initial block.

- 5 GCSEs, including:
English Language (Grade C/4 or above) and Maths (Grade C/4 or above). - Successful completion of assessments at the AMRC Training Centre and our internal recruitment process.
