Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Consultancy department and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects across the sports surface construction industry. The role involves supporting and collaborating with consultants on the planning, design, and execution of projects. A strong background in surveying, design, and technical project delivery is essential, with drainage design experience considered highly advantageous.

You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team on feasibility studies, planning applications, tender preparation, and contract administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to consultants in surveying, design, and project coordination
  • Assist and, where appropriate, lead the preparation of feasibility studies, planning applications, specifications, and tenders
  • Apply engineering principles to civil infrastructure design, including drainage, flood risk, surface water systems, and attenuation
  • Liaise with clients, team members, and local authorities to support efficient project delivery
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as electrical and landscape design
  • Participate in internal and client meetings to monitor progress and resolve challenges
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and authority requirements
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven experience supporting consultants with surveying, design, and technical project activities
  • Drainage design experience and familiarity with software such as Micro Drainage, Civil 3D, or Autodesk Info Drainage advantageous
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of CAD and civil design tools
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel
Working Hours

Monday to Friday — 35 hours per week

Location

Nottingham Head Office / Hybrid working with site travel
