WhatYou Will Do
Be hands-on with testing, assembly, and integration of RF, microwave, and electronic technologies using tools like spectrum analysers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes to check performance, fix issues, and improve results. You’ll handle PCB builds, soldering, cable harnessing, and mechanical assembly with precision, as well as configure hardware, roll out software updates, and keep databases accurate. You’ll be the go-to problem-solver, using your technical know-how, attention to detail, and proactive approach to keep everything running smoothly.
WhatTUALCOM looks for in an Electronics Test Technician
We’re looking for a hands-on Electronics Test Technician with proven testing and assembly experience, gained through an apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent. You’ll have strong knowledge of electronic, RF, and microwave technologies, be confident with test instruments, and bring the problem-solving skills and attention to detail to get it right first time. You’ll need to work independently, hit deadlines, and communicate clearly, with security vetting required and defence experience a big plus.
Qualifications- Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent in electronics or related field
- Hands-on testing and assembly experience in electronics, RF, or microwave environments
- Strong knowledge of electronic, RF, and microwave technologies; proficient with test instruments (e.g., spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, signal generators)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Security vetting required; defence experience is a plus
