Key Responsibilities
  • Wholly accountable for the quality of Civil/Structural engineering output and on‑time delivery in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure all Civil/Structural designs are code compliant, meet specification, safe in design and consider lifecycle requirements.
  • Support Project Managers, Project Engineers and Bids with information and guidance.
  • Work closely with other Department Heads in the business to ensure synergy.
  • Promote Civil/Structural/equipment standardisation and re‑use.
  • Line‑management responsibilities across multiple sites; responsible for departmental performance and setting objectives to meet business and individual goals.
  • Develop Civil/Structural engineering tools and processes that ensure designs are robust and outputs in line with scope.
Minimum Requirements
  • BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Civil or Structural)
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng, preferably ICE or IStruct

    E)
  • Strong experience in a Civil/Structural engineering field.
  • Knowledge of the construction and process industries and applicable standards.
  • Ability to use structural analytical software unaided (STAAD Pro or TEKLA Structures preferred).
  • Ability to interpret Site Investigation reports and identify civil implications.
