You will be part of the Reliability, Maintainability & Safety (RMS) team, embedding Design for Reliability (DfR) practices across new and existing programmes, and ensuring compliance with international aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities- Perform reliability, maintainability, and safety (RMS) analyses at both component and system level.
- Produce reliability predictions, FMECAs/FMEAs, maintainability analyses, and fault tree analyses (FTA).
- Support DfR activities such as DFMEA, risk management logs, HALT/HASS and robustness modelling.
- Analyse in‑service data and support FRACAS processes to drive product improvement.
- Work with design and development teams to ensure products meet certification requirements (ARP
4754A, ARP
4761, DO-178C/DO-254, MIL‑HDBK-217). - Prepare technical reports and liaise with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
- 2+ years’ experience in a technical engineering role.
- Background in aerospace, defence, avionics or other safety‑critical sectors preferred.
- Hands‑on knowledge of FMEA, FMECAs, FRACAS, reliability block diagrams, fault tree analysis, and reliability modelling.
- Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (ARP
4754A, ARP
4761, DO-178C, DO-254, MIL‑HDBK-217). - Experience with reliability/statistical tools such as Minitab, Weibull or Windchill Quality Solutions.
- Knowledge of fuel, hydraulic or avionics systems would be an advantage.
- Permanent role with a leading aerospace and defence organisation.
- Salary of £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience.
