Are you a Protection & Control Design Engineer or similar looking for a specialist role offering full autonomy to oversee technical National Grid projects essential for the ongoing supply of energy across the UK within a company moving from strength-to-strength who offer a dynamic range of progression opportunities?

• Lead and carry out end-to-end project work on Protection & Control (P&C) projects, including schematic, cable block and diagram design.
• Prepare bill of materials and carry out cable sizing calculations.
• Oversee site teams, undertake calculations, and perform hands-on design work primarily in the office, with some client visits and occasional WFH.
• Mentor junior team members and liaise with other departments within a tight-knit team.
• Act as the go-to specialist for cutting-edge P&C projects and work closely with clients to understand their requirements.

• Design Engineer or similar with Protection & Control / P&C experience.
• Commutable to Newcastle.
• Electrical, Design, Engineer, CAD, Modelling, Engineering, Power, National Grid, Energy, Utilities, 3D, Schematics, Substation, Transformers, Breakers (keywords for role).
