About this opportunityWe are searching for a Senior Design Engineer to join our new, national multi‑disciplinary service tailored to optimising performance of properties, estates and built portfolios for organisations throughout the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an M&E design engineer or building services specialist to join a diverse team of technical experts to deliver a blend of building services projects & technical advice, providing improvements to operational costs, performance, and sustainability for clients and end users.
You will work collaboratively with our building surveying, geomatics and facilities specialists as part of our service, providing inspection and design‑based services across sectors including healthcare, commercial, education and blue light clients.
Within this role you will be responsible for:- Design and specification of mechanical building services projects across various commercial property types
- Site inspections of work in progress.
- Project progress and client facing meetings.
- M&E surveys and condition reports.
- Cost estimates throughout the RIBA work stages.
- Reviewing Contractor’s Proposals.
- Input to fee proposals and appointment documents.
- Input into business plans for growth.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
- Ability to deliver mechanical / building services projects upwards of £200,000
- Experience working in a consultancy environment
- Hold a valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- Practical experience in lifecycle analysis, condition surveys and reporting.
- Software design packages such as MEPworx, IES and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
