Location:

Cema Head Office, Pintail Close, Netherfield, Nottingham, NG4 2SG
, but the candidate will be required to travel to Severn Trent sites from time to time for site surveys and meetings.

The Role:

CEMA are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team based in Nottingham. Our main activities are working on existing sites, carrying out upgrades to existing site infrastructure, mainly control panels and Motor Control Centres, Fibre networks, PLCs and SCADA systems on both waste and clean sites across the Severn Trent network. The successful candidate will be required to work on the project from start to finish in co-operation with the project manager and Severn Trent to develop and implement a suitable solution, liaising with the client on technical questions and supporting the installation teams once the project starts installation.

Qualifications

& Experience
  • Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification - Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC. Practical qualifications to be considered if they have design experience.
  • City & Guilds 18thEdition Wiring Regs
  • Comp Ex Foundation is desirable but not essential. (An appreciation of hazardous areas is beneficial).
  • Experience in control panel design essential - producing drawings, creating bill of materials, and associated documentation.
  • Familiar with industrial electrical installations.
  • Experience in industrial network design would be an advantage
  • Experience using Amtech / Trimble for cable calculations.
  • Experience using AutoCAD is desirable.
  • Familiar with E&I docs (Instrument schedules, P&'s, SLD's, PLC I/O lists etc.)
  • Some site experience is essential, at least for surveys and scoping projects - good health & safety awareness
  • Experience producing RAMS.
Work Experience
  • Experience working within the water industry, especially Severn Trent, would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Hours of work – 37.5 hours per week plus an unpaid break of 1 hour for lunch
  • Holiday entitlement – You will be entitled to 20 days' holiday per annum, in addition to the statutory 8 bank holidays, throughout the year. After 2 years of employment, you will receive an additional one-day holiday per annum up to a maximum of 5 days.
  • Company pension – NEST Pensions 3% Employer Contribution after 3 months of employment.
