We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our multidisciplinary pavement engineering and construction materials team, working across airports, ports, highways, and related transport infrastructure.

This role sits within a multidisciplinary team and is intended for engineers with established professional experience who are ready to take technical ownership and responsibility.

Senior Engineers may operate as generalists across several services or as specialists in areas such as pavement design for ports, airports, or highways. Both profiles are valued when the required level of technical judgment is demonstrated.

• Leading technical tasks or small work packages within larger projects
• Delivering pavement design, assessment, back analysis, and materials-related work with limited supervision
• Independently interrogating standards, specifications, and guidance, forming a technical view before seeking peer input where appropriate
• Reviewing and checking technical work produced by Engineers and, where appropriate, other Senior Engineers
• Providing technical input to scope definition, fee estimates, and resourcing discussions
• Supporting site-based activities where required, including leading inspections or resolving technical issues
• Applying engineering judgment when information is incomplete or constrained by programme or budget
• Contributing to the improvement and consistency of technical tools, workflows, and data outputs

• An engineering-related degree or equivalent; demonstrable progress towards Chartership is highly valued
• Established professional experience in a related engineering field, with demonstrated capability to operate independently at Senior Engineer level
• Professional experience in pavement engineering and construction materials (e.g., asphalt, aggregates, concrete; hydraulically bound materials; soils) across airports, ports, highways, or related infrastructure – either strong generalist capability across services or a recognised technical specialism in one area
• Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with clients and project teams
