Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re looking for an Assistant Asset Manager to join our client’s growing Operations & Asset Management team, supporting a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy assets across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional looking to build a long-term career within renewable energy asset management.

Our client operates as the asset management and delivery platform of a broader clean energy investment group focused on solar, BESS and onshore wind projects across Europe with a strong UK presence. Backed by institutional infrastructure capital, the wider platform has developed and managed multiple gigawatts of renewable energy assets and continues to expand through new acquisitions, development and long-term contracted projects.

As Assistant Asset Manager, you’ll support the operational management and optimisation of renewable assets, working closely with internal teams, OEMs, O&M providers and external stakeholders. The role offers structured training and progression over a two-to-three-year period, providing exposure across technical operations, commercial asset management and stakeholder coordination.

  • Support the operational management and optimisation of renewable energy assets
  • Monitor asset performance, identify underperformance and support corrective action plans
  • Review OEM and O&M provider reports, alarms and availability data
  • Assist with maintenance planning and operational reporting
  • Liaise with landowners, OEMs, O&M providers, planners and other key stakeholders
  • Support management of operational contracts and asset management agreements
  • Coordinate and participate in internal and external operational meetings
  • Produce technical and operational reports, including site inspections and performance analysis
  • Maintain and update asset management databases and reporting tools
  • Analyse operational data and present findings to the wider team
  • Attend operational sites across the UK as required
  • Support site inspections, audits and compliance activities
  • Promote strong HSQE standards across all operational activities
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in renewable energy, particularly wind, solar and BESS
  • Strong analytical, organisational and report-writing skills
  • Good IT capability, including Microsoft Office and willingness to learn bespoke systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable travelling to sites when required
  • Full UK driving licence
Why Apply?
  • Structured training and progression within renewable energy asset management
  • Opportunity to work across utility-scale wind, solar and BESS projects
  • Exposure to a sophisticated renewable energy investment and operating platform
  • Hybrid working with long-term career development opportunities in a growing sector
