This is an opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading contractors on multi-million-pound water projects across the North West Region!

• As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical package delivery and technical governance, along with the management of the mechanical package delivery strategy for the framework.
• You will manage site surveys of existing mechanical equipment.
• Handover to project MEICA delivery engineering team.
• Implementation of standard procurement specific requirements in relation to manufacture, off‑site testing, delivery and installation are incorporated within mechanical packages.
• Ensuring that delivery teams are implementing deployed frameworks.
• Collaboration within the wider functions of the business – design, estimating, civils, commercial to support overall effective delivery and continuous improvement.

• Input to design solution at survey and concept stages.
• Production of mechanical enquiry packages based on design documentation.
• Organisation of decommissioning / relocation of existing mechanical equipment.
• Definition of standard products and technical solutions for deployment across the programme.
• Definition of standard procurement specific requirements in relation to manufacture, off‑site testing, delivery and installation are incorporated within mechanical packages.
• Guiding design teams towards standardisation of solutions across the programme.
• Managing key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure production / delivery timescales.
• Liaison with the client’s mechanical lead.
• Review and sign‑off of mechanical elements of condition survey report.
• On and off‑site inspection and testing, including documentation, procedures and critical function witness testing i.e., FAT & SAT, string tests, etc.

• Proven experience in water civil engineering projects.
• Strong background in mechanical engineering.

• Salary up to £75,000 per annum.
• Company car or car allowance.
• Annual bonus scheme (10%).
