Role OverviewS&B Utilities is seeking experienced Civils Gangers to oversee and ensure the successful execution of civil projects across our operations within the water network infrastructure, both regionally and nationally.
Responsibilities- Oversee diverse tasks such as mains laying, ducting, draw pit construction, and reinstatement.
- Perform various excavation techniques, including mechanical and manual digging.
- Provide weekly safety, plant, and labour performance reports.
- Offer technical guidance and supervision of civil engineering tasks.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Ensure all work meets industry standards and regulations, conduct inspections, quality checks, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate plant and resource requirements with the Civils Site Manager.
- Communicate health and safety protocols clearly and enforce strict adherence to maintain high safety and quality standards.
- Experience:
Civils Site Supervision, preferably with a strong background. in the water industry. - Certifications:
CSCS Supervisor Card, SSSTS training, CPCS Lift Supervision and Signaling, EUSR Blue Card, full UK driving licence. - Health & Safety: IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS (obtained or in progress).
