Key Responsibilities

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an Asbestos Analyst & Surveyor Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will support day‑to‑day asbestos surveying, sampling, and site inspections, providing technical assistance to ensure safety, compliance, and accurate reporting in line with regulatory standards.

This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a future career in asbestos management, building surveying, and analysis, offering opportunities to develop a broad range of practical and technical skills in a supportive environment with a strong focus on health and safety.

  • Investigation of building fabric works as part of an asbestos survey team - this can range from domestic properties to grade II listed buildings to nuclear power plants.
  • Air monitoring, sampling and analysis.
  • Ensuring all work complies with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to clients at all levels.
  • Travelling throughout your allocated region as part of your day‑to‑day role, with potential travel further afield.
  • Collaborating closely with both the field and administrative team.
About You

You’re someone who prefers being out on site rather than behind a desk, and you’re comfortable working in environments like construction, demolition, or industrial settings. Early starts, travel, and changing locations don’t put you off — in fact, you enjoy the variety and the sense of purpose that comes with hands‑on work.

You take safety seriously and understand the importance of following procedures properly. Working to strict rules, method statements, and risk assessments feels natural to you, and you don’t cut corners. You’re calm, focused, and able to stay composed even in regulated environments where inspections, audits, or oversight are part of the job.

You’re practical by nature and learn best by doing. Repetition and routine don’t bother you — you see them as part of building consistency and getting things right every time. You’re comfortable using equipment, following technical processes, and working in PPE or RPE for extended periods when required.

You can work independently once trained, taking responsibility for your tasks, but you also communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors to make sure work is completed safely and correctly. You’re motivated by doing work that matters — contributing to environmental safety, compliance, and protecting public health.

You value clear expectations, stability, and progression. You’re interested in building a long‑term career, developing your skills step by step, and moving forward into roles such as surveyor or analyst over time.

Please note:

You must be 18+ due to the nature of the working environment and a full manual driving licence is required for this role.

Apprenticeship Eligibility
  • Be 18 or over
  • Not be in full‑time education
  • Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Have the right to work in the UK

Apprenticeships are designed to provide new knowledge, skills and behaviours, so applicants should not already hold a Level 3, degree or higher qualification in a closely related subject, or have significant experience in the same field.

If you’re unsure whether you meet the criteria, we’d still love to hear from you – get in touch and we can advise you further.
